Welcome to the Suwannee County Airport
Suwannee County Airport is located in Suwannee County in northern Florida, approximately 85 miles west of Jacksonville and 80 miles east of Tallahassee. The primary access to the Airport from the north and south is Interstate 75, while Interstate 10 provides primary access from the east and west. Other roads in the vicinity include US Routes 90 & 129, State Route 51, and County Road 136.
Existing Facilities
Suwannee County Airport has one runway, Runway 07/25, 4,000 feet long and 75 feet wide. The runway is asphalt and in fair condition. The runway is served by a full-length parallel taxiway. The airport has a 2,000-square foot FBO general aviation terminal building. There are 21 parking spaces for automobiles. The aircraft parking ramp is quite large and has 15 tie-down spaces. There is a self-serve AVGas (100LL) fueling point for the aircraft, and full service for Jet A + Prist.
General Aviation
Suwannee County Airport serves the basic needs of general aviation. The airport has 49 based aircraft varying from single engine reciprocating, multi-engine reciprocating, to turbine helicopters. Most based aircraft are housed in the 32 T-Hangars. The airport has aircraft maintenance capability provided by Wing Works. Their services include but are not limited to minor and major aircraft maintenance including avionics, electrical, radios, engine overhauls/rebuilds, and structural repair.
Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)
Suwannee County Airport is home to EAA Chapter 797, the Suwannee River Chapter designated the Catfish Squadron. The organization sponsors many events promoting aviation for Suwannee County Airport and the community.
